I can't create repeating tasks or edit a non-repeating to become recurrent. The task is created or edited but the repeating part is just disappearing.

Unfortunately the issue still persists. The steps to reproduce it are the following:
The goal is created and it appears in the calendar view, but the recurrence is not set. Further edits are not capable of adding the recurrence.

We understand that you were having issues with the Repeating/Recurring Tasks Feature of the Week Plan.
I have been advised that a recent update has been made to the program resolving the issue.
