Tasks that repeat do not roll to the next day automatically if they are not completed by Midnight. Help!

Upon checking with our dev team, the rolling over of task function does not apply to repeated tasks.

Yes, this is why I am contacting you. I have tasks that reoccur annually, that I may not get to the day it shows up, or start on one day, but require several
days to complete. Graying it out and not moving from yesterday to today has caused me to “forget” about a couple items. Can you leave it in black (not grayed out) or let it advance so that I see it and know I still need to complete it?
