one recurring event keeps showing at wrong time

I'm trying weekplan. Like it ... but, one of my weekly recurring events in google calendar is shown as an hour off in weekplan. This is unsettling, because it means I can't trust weekplan to show my calendar correctly. Suggestions?

Hi there!

Thank you for reaching ou.

May we ask for you to check if the timezone selected on your Weekplan and Google Calendar is the same?

Sure - happy to take a screenshot etc.  Where should I send it?

Hi, Michael!

You may post it here. If there are details on your calendar you can't share, you may send them on a private ticket.

Hi, Michael!

Our apologies for the confusion with the tag when we closed the ticket.

We are unable to replicate the issue on our end. Hence, we tried asking for more details for reference but the user advised that he has chosen to deactivate his account and unable to provide them anymore.

We are more than happy to look into your concern further. May we ask for a screenshot of the events and the email address of your account, please?

Thank you for understanding. Looking forward to your response.

Hi,

Just wanted to say this is definitely a bug - it's a little disappointing to see it labelled otherwise.

I just checked back in to see if WeekPlan was more stable yet.  I can report that whilst I like the new user interface there are still some issues.  One of the main ones is mishandling of repeating calendar entries.  Despite having the same timezone selected in WeekPlan and Google Calendar, I have some repeating calendar entries displayed on the wrong day, some displayed at the incorrect time, and some displayed twice.  This makes WeekPlan unusable!

Would love this to be fixed!

Thanks,

Michael

Further to the last - the issues seem to be with events that have had an instance cancelled.  That is, at some point in the sequence i have cancelled the meeting and so in google calendar I have deleted only that instance.  Not sure how that effects the repeating pattern but these are the events that are not showing correctly in WeekPlan.

IMO ... There are too many stable apps available to waste time and frustration on one that is buggy. I just need something that I can trust to work as intended. I guess I'm getting old. 😮

I read the reviews on the Android app, and I don't care to subject myself to the grief Android users are describing. I may come back and check again in a few months. For now I'll stick with something that is tried and true. I do, however, love the concept of WeekPlan, and I wish you all the very best.

Hi,

Thank you for the response.

Please feel free to reach out again if you would like us to continue looking into your concern. Just send us the requested information in order for us to proceed.

Thank you for trying Weekplan. Have a great day!

I deactivated my account

Hi,

We are sorry to hear about this.

May we know why you have deactivated your account?

Our team would like to look into your concern, however, we'll need further reference to proceed. A screenshot of those events or your email address registered with Weekplan will be helpful.

We look forward to your response.
