I would like to back up my journal entries

i would like to make a local back up of all of my journal entries. Keeping an image locally would allow me to edit and utilize the information in ways that the native application does not support. I could copy and paste them (very labor intensive) but would like a way to download the files (by day) into a local back up folder.
