Need a functional "Percetage of Task Complete" measurement

In program management, the "Plan, Do, Check, Act" Cycle, or PDCA, is reflected by Plan (25%), Do (50%), Check (75%), Act (100%).  When dealing with multiple tasks to complete an objective, the ability to sort tasks by the "percentage of task complete" measurement helps with prioritization.

Sorry I didn't quite understand.

Do you mean that you want to sort tasks by progress?

Yes, but more than that.  Each task goes through completion phases.  The PDCA measurement (or Demming method) gauges the progress of each task.  This method is often used in the Toyota Production System.  There may be better articles, but here is the Wikipedia article:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDCA

For Example:  Let's say there's 25 tasks under an objective and all are equally important.  Then perhaps you would want the ability to tackle those tasks that are not far along.  If there was a way to mark the progress of a task (say 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%) and sort those, it would show which tasks need attention.

We just removed the ability to set the progress on a task, it has been there for a while but we didn't feel people were using it. Then I guess, it we had that, you just want the ability to sort by progress in the objective page?

It visually helps me to see where I am in terms of completing a task.  I was trained in the Toyota Production System, so the PDCA method is what I've been using for years.  0%, 25% (P), 50% (D), 75% (C). 100% (A) is what I am used to.  To sort tasks based on progress helps prioritize, especially when dealing with several tasks under an objective.

Just a suggestion.  Thanks for creating a great planner.
