Automatically refresh tasks

It appears that Weekplan doesn't currently support "push" updates. For example, if I add a task in the iOS app, that task will not appear in my desktop's browser until I manually refresh the page. In a similar vein, if I leave the Weekplan page open tonight (as I usually do -- it's a pinned tab in my browser), I will have to manually refresh the page tomorrow morning so that any incomplete tasks from today roll over.

Ideally, these changes would happen automatically (i.e. the page periodically refreshes itself or receives push updates from the server). At the very least, a "Sync" button in the app would be nice so I don't have to do a full refresh, which is rather slow.

For the time being, I'm using Auto Refresh Plus set to refresh Week Plan every 8 hours as a workaround. It's really surprising to me that a web app that costs at least $100/year in 2018 is missing such basic functionality.

Hi, lhagan!

Thank you for sharing this.

The web app needs to be refreshed from time to time especially if you have other calendars synced to it.

I forwarded this feedback/suggestion to our team for review.

I'm finding that this is still the case in 2022? I did some planning this morning on the Android app on one device, and then, on the Windows app, none of those changes showed up until I closed the Windows app and reopened. Same with the Web app - had to manually refresh the page with F5 to see the changes. Same with the Android app on another device - had to close and reopen the app.

Since you know this is (still) an issue, please at least put a  refresh icon in the menu that is quickly accessible no matter where we are - whether in the web browser, windows, ios, android, HIT page, schedule, inbox, etc.

The expected behavior is that the system would keep apps synchronized, not requiring the user to do a manual refresh. This is quite important, especially for a less technical user.
