recurring task disappeared

I have a task that repeats weekly. Sometimes I don't get to it and move it to the following week. The last two times I have done this it deletes the task I moved and all of the same recurring tasks for the entire month. This has really screwed me as I had notes in that task I needed. Is there any way to get that back?

Could you please confirm if it is fine for you right now? Are repeatitions working for you right now or do you need some more help?

Unfortunately, the problem is not fixed.  The previously completed recurring tasks that I had tracked time to are still broken.  When I look back at them, the repeating task show up for that day (in the past) as not completed, and with no time tracked for the task.

Is that problem present also for new tasks or only for some tasks in the past?

I haven’t been using Weekplan much since the problem, but I just tried to track time in recurring tasks to try to answer your question.  I tried for 10 to 15 minutes.  It is not clear to me what is happening.  Sometimes the time seems to track to the whole repeating series, but not to the iteration that is for just today.  It seems, though, that if I click the activity as complete for today, then unclick complete, then I am able to track time to just that instance / day.  Overall, I’m not really sure what is going on.

Hello,

I'm also having a problem with recurring tasks.

When I create a task that recurs weekly on each working day (Mon-Fri), with a set duration (e.g. 30 mins), I cannot then click and drag the task from the "Any time" list of unscheduled tasks for the day into a spot on the bar at the top. The only way I can schedule the task is by double-clicking it, and manually setting the time for the task.

Other non-recurring tasks are fine, I can drag to schedule those without a problem as before. As soon as I remove the repetition from a task I can then immediately drag to schedule the task again.

Making a task repeat somehow fixes it in place and means you can no longer drag it!

Thanks,

Steve

I've just discovered that if I tick and complete a recurring task that hasn't been scheduled to a specific time yet, and then un-tick it again, I can then drag and schedule the task. A bit of a weird work-around for now!

We are sorry for the inconvenience.  Drag and drop feature for the recurring task is disabled temporarily for now due to the new sync with migration done in the last weeks. We will enable it soon. It is happening because when you complete an instance it is treated as an exception of repetition i.e. as a single task/event that is why you are able to drag and drop it. However, another way to do so is by editing the instance, you can move it to the desired time/board and list.

We will get back to you soon when it is enabled for the recurring tasks.

We highly appreciate your patience.

Thank you.
