Can't seem to link phone number to my account

Hi, 
I'd like to use the SMS reminder feature and followed your instructions "The fastest way to add a task...."

When I send the SMS to my Weekplan contact I get as a reply "Phone number not recognized. Send your emial address prefixed with...." I then follow those instructions but continue to get the same message back. Any ideas?
