Is there a shortcut to go to "today" in the planner
If I am adding an appointment into the planner in the future, is there a way to get back to the current day/week quickly?

Shortcut to Today is available in Week plan. Please ignore my previous comment. There is a home icon in the right side of the nav menu as shown in the screenshot below:
