"Automatically roll over uncompleted tasks"...roll over into next day, or into next week?

Workspace Settings > checkbox for "Automatically roll over uncompleted tasks"

Does this mean

1. if tasks are unfinished for the day, roll over into the next day
2. if tasks are unfinished for the week, roll over into the next week
3. both
