Is the Goal Tracker still existent? + other feedback from a new trial user

Hi, I'm very new to weekplan as I'm just running the trial version Ultimate v2.122.3. I've been using the FranklinCovey philosophies and systems for several decades, and just happened to stumble on to weekplan. Very nice indeed so far in my trial. However, I don't see the Goals Tracker that's so much documented. I only see Vision, Objectives, Planner and Journal. Is this because it's a trial or perhaps goals were replace by objectives.

I read some of the suggestions below and agree with many of them. The most difficult parts of weekplan I found thus far are

1. the inability to detach sub-tasks from parent tasks or to reassign them to a new parent,

2. the lack of "weekly compass at-a-glance" where I can state the roles, goals and tasks that are in focus for that week.made a workaround by creating a new board called "Weekly Compass".

3. printing my daily or weekly task list

4. Vision, Values and Mission statements as line items instead of free text where I have to number or bullet them myself. This way I can also connect goals and tasks to specific line items.

Hi, Ariel!

Thank you for reaching out and for trying Week Plan. Glad to hear that you liked the app so far. :)

Please be advised that we have recently removed the Goals tracker and replaced it with the Objectives Module. Please feel free to visit this page for more details:

https://support.weekplan.net/knowledge-bases/4/articles/4886-objectives-module

Here are our responses to your suggestions:

1. the inability to detach sub-tasks from parent tasks or to reassign them to a new parent,

- you can actually promote a subtask itself to the current day or assign it to a different date

2. the lack of "weekly compass at-a-glance" where I can state the roles, goals and tasks that are in focus for that week.made a workaround by creating a new board called "Weekly Compass".

- the Prioritize function will give you a glance to all the tasks you have and assign them to the quadrant where they belong

3. printing my daily or weekly task list

- you may download the tasks and journal entries associated with a team (workspace). The downloaded files are in the .csv format. Kindly visit this page for more details:

https://support.weekplan.net/knowledge-bases/4/articles/1851-how-to-download-my-data

4. Vision, Values and Mission statements as line items instead of free text where I have to number or bullet them myself. This way I can also connect goals and tasks to specific line items.

- we have noted this feedback and will be reviewed for future updates.

Should you have other questions or concerns with the app, please let us know.

Have a great day!

Hi Ana,

Thanks for you prompt answers. Following up and a few more questions.

Objectives:

Are objectives always quarterly-based? How can I move an existing objective to another quarter backward or forward? What is the relation between an Objective's high impact gantt setting (by quarter's week) and a specific date I set on the task?

1. I just discovered the direct way to re-assign a sub-task to have a different parent task. I select a particular sub-task and in its pop-up windows there's a drop-down box allowing me to select a different high-impact tasks. Nice! I hadn't noticed that before.

2.  The prioritization into quadrants is powerful. I had been looking for a single view of the specific roles and objectives I put on focus for this week. If I veer off course in the middle of the week, a quick glance at my 'compass' helps me get back on track. I do see that the tasks under the roles do show up within a specific week's context, so could be this will suffice.

3. Can the progress of a parent task reflect or roll-up the progress of its sub-tasks?

4. Is there a way to configure the start of week to be Sunday instead of Monday? Here in Israel we start our week on Sundays :-)

Thanks again. I look forward to subscribing soon.
