preferences do not exist

Preferences option do not exist in my Week Plan. I found the Personal Preferences help topic, but the expected menu simply do not exist in my interface. Actually, I can´t use Week Plan because gray over white is very uncortable for me. Any one knows what is happening?

The account preferences are available if you click on your avatar at the bottom left.
