Google Calendar Sync is a mess

Hi, I would love to use weekplan, but the Google Calendar sync seems very unstable and prevents me from actually using weekplan to its full potential.

I have several issues:

  • Tasks synced from a connected calendar have the wrong time and sometimes appear up to 4 times, even if they are declined or I already checked them in weekplan
  • Even after deleting duplicate events with wrong times, they appear again after a refresh
  • It takes more time to manage my events for the day then the time I win from planning my tasks with weekplan

So while I really like the methodology of weekplan and general idea, this is a show stopper for me.

Thank you for the update, it really reduced the problems to a minimum. Now the duplicate meetings are gone after disabling and re-enabling the pull sync for the problematic calendar.

One problem which I still have is that sometimes when editing a calendar entry in weekplan it's moved to one hour earlier. They are imported correctly, but without changing the time, when adding a role and board, they are moved one hour earlier.

Thank you for the update. May we ask the timezone of both the calendars(WeekPlan and Google) to check the issue further?

The time zone for my Google calendars is "(GMT+01:00) Central European Time - Vienna" and for weekplan I use

Hi, there!


After so many issues with calendar sync, we rewrite the whole sync process and released it in the last two weeks.  This should resolve many issues. We did a huge migration during this release so if someone having issue with Google/Outlook sync please write back to us. We appreciate your feedback.

Hi,

My birthday calendar from google was not syncing so I decided to disconnect and reconnect my google calendar. After 4 hours my calendar has not synced back.
