Hello, I think that I'm not classifying tasks right and would like to learn from the community.

1. Erends - How do you classify these? Ender which role?

2. Most of my tasks are "important" and some are important and "urgent" . Perhaps I'm fortunate, that I have so many important and not urgent tasks as this is the 2nd quarter. But I think I'm just not classifying right.

What you guys think?

Hi Shlomo!

Thank you for your message and we sincerely apologize for the delay in getting back to you. We have received a surge of online requests due to the recent update.

We understand you have several questions with regards to classifications of Jobs, tasks and roles.

Normally, an Errand denotes of a simple task or assignment that requires a short and quick trip to accomplish a specific purpose, as to buy something, deliver a package, or convey a message, often for someone else.

Example, Getting a take-out, grocery shopping and many more.

Classification of Errands actually depends on its urgency.

As for Important Vs Urgent tasks, I have made a quick google research and found tons of quadrants in diagrams, explaining their differences which I think will also help you with the assigning tasks.

Example, Exercising, this is important for self improvement but this is not urgent as this is a continuous improvement and can only be achieved through time.

You can find this article link helpful.

I hope this information is of help. Should you need further assistance with your Week Plan, please let us know.

Kindest,

Jocelyn

Hi Shlomo,

1. Errands don't need to be classified under a specific role if they don't fit under any.

2. Congratulations, you are already in a very good situation where you are not fire fighting constantly. You need to ensure you stay in it. I suggest being even stricter about your concept of Importance. Now that most your tasks are important, surely some have more impact than others. This will help figure out the essential from the fluff.

I surely hope I'm classifying things right. Going strickter is actually a good idea. But then, if it's a lower on importance rate then what should the classification be, "Not urgent and not important"? That would make it go to Q4 which is trash tasks :)

Well it would be telling you not to do them :)
