Use more distinguishable colors for roles

1. It is a lot of colors, the overall design is affected
2. I cannot clearly see if a task is associated to a role or not. Previously, I was relying on the little colored bar.
3. I am a bit color blind so it gets a little confusing...

Idea: why not just making the previous colored bar bigger (a ribbon over the whole width of the task). It would also constitute a nice spot to initiate drag and drop.

But my overall feeling is very positive, I love this tool :) :)
It is the first organizer I see that put things in perspective
Big thanks

I think the little bars were creating more noise to the design.
I tried to find colors that would be readable also when a task is marked as Urgent with a redish background.
Maybe I should pick better colors to make them more distinguishable. I will rename your suggestion to "Use more distinguishable colors for roles"
UPDATE: Now you can pick your won colors :)

Thanks for considering my request :)
I actually work at a web agency in Brussels (emakina.com). I have quite a few fellow designer colleagues... You know what, I am going to submit them with this design issue, let's see what they come up with ;)
Great app by the way, I was wondering about a mobile version and just learnt from one of your post about it, gonna try it right away! :). Does it have an offline mode?

PS: I still strongly believe that generally speaking color is more distinguishable when applied as an area than a stroke...

Hi Richard,

I am looking forward to hearing how your designers would improve WeekPlan design. I struggle in that area I must admit.

No the mobile version doesn't offer offline mode yet but I know how to do it, it is just a matter of time. I am trying to find a developer to help push more things quicker.
