Timer keeps running after completion

Sorry for the delay. I was locked out of the system and the holiday season snuck up on me.
Yes, the timer stops when I hit the stop button on the timer. The issue is that if the timer is running and I complete the task, the timer does not automatically stop. More so, it continues to log time on that completed task until i start a new timer for a different task or I hit the stop button.
