Google Calendar Sync does not remove items that have been removed in Google

schmatt 2 years ago updated by Ana Loraine 2 years ago 17

The sync with Google Calendar appears to not be working correctly ever since the update of the new look. It will add new items that have been added to Google. But when you remove an item in Google, it does not remove it from Weekplan.

Hi there!

Thank you for reaching out. Our sincerest apologies for the delayed response.

May we ask if the Push and Pull settings have been set up? http://support.weekplan.net/forums/4-knowledge-base/topics/1816-how-to-synchronize-your-tasks-with-google-calendar/

Also, may we please have a screenshot for reference? You may choose to send this via private ticket if you do not want to share this on this post.

Thank you for your patience. Looking forward to your response!

I do not have the push settings setup, because I do not want the tasks added to my calendar.

However, I am deleting the items directly from Google Calendar. These are not being deleted from my Weekplan schedule.

Thank you for confirming this.

May we know which browser you are using when this happened? have you tried using other browsers as well?

This issue seems to have been resolved. Thanks!

Thank you for getting back to us.

We have made a few upgrade with the app since then. We are glad to hear that it worked on your end.

Please feel free to reach out if you have other questions or concerns.

Have a great day!

I have push enabled but removing item from Google Calendar doesn't remove it from Weekplan.

Thank you for reaching out.

May we ask for a screenshot of these events for reference?

We are more than happy to check this further.

This item was deleted in Google Calendar. After triggering the sync and refreshing the window, it's still there on 20th March.

HI, Peter!

Thank you for sending that through.

I will forward this to our dev team for further checking.

We will notify you as soon as we have an update.

Hi, Peter!

Good day.  I hope this email finds you well.

We are circling back to check if the issue with deleted tasks from your Google Calendar is still present?

Looking forward to your response.

I’m still seeing intermittent issues. It seems to be primarily associated with repeating appt’s. If I delete them in my Google Calendar, they do not get removed from my Weekplan Calendar. If it is just a single appt, it seems to work OK.

Thank you for the feedback.

We are sorry to hear about this. We understand that this is an intermittent issue, is it possible to ask for a screenshot as soon as you encounter it again?

I did a test. Now, it didn't work for either a single event or repeating event. It just seems really intermittent on this end. Here are screen shots of the test setup.

Here are the screen shots after removing just one of the events.

Once I deleted all of the repeating tasks, and not just this weeks task, it was removed from weekplan. It seems that removing a single instance of a repeating event does not work. But removing all of the events will remove it.

Hi there!

Thank you for taking the tine to send all those screenshots for reference.

I have forwarded this to our dev team for further checking. I will get back to you as soon as I receive a feedback.

Thank you for understanding.

Thank you for patiently waiting for the update.

Our dev team will be releasing a fix to the Google Calendar sync issues in a few days. They are on the testing phase and will be releasing the update on the app soon.
