Moving 1 instance of a repeating task to another day kills all instances

joe 2 years ago updated by Ana Loraine 2 years ago 12

I created a task that repeats weekly.  One week I had to move the task to a different day (drag and drop).  Now the task is gone.  This has happened to multiple tasks.

Hi there!

Thank you for reaching out.

May I ask if you moved the parent tasks or one of the repeated tasks?

Looking forward to your response!

I am guessing it was an instance rather than the parent because I merely dragged it from one day's column to the next.  editing a parent requires a different action, right?

Hi, Joe!

Thank you for the response.

Please be advised that we are unable to replicate this on our end.

May we ask for which browser you are using? Also, may we ask for a screenshot of what you see on your end for reference?

Looking forward to your response!

I wasn't able to replicate using your test case, either.  I'll have to try to figure it out on my own.  In the meantime I've recreated my recurring tasks and I'll update here if I can isolate the issue

OK, so it happened to me this morning.  However it was using the android app.  I opened a one iteration of a recurring task called "agendas', edited the date, and now every iteration of that event is gone.  If you search for "agendas" in my account you will find a few remaining iterations of a task I set to recur weekly on Wednesdays and never removed.

Hi, Joe!

Thank you for getting back to us.

May we ask for the email address associated with your account please?

Looking forward to your response!

Hi there!

Thank you for the response.

We are unable to find a paid subscription under this account. May we ask for a copy of the paid invoice for reference?

My apologies for the confusion with our previous message.

I will check with our dev team to look into your account regarding the repeat task.

We will send you an update as soon as we receive a feedback.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi,

Good day!

Our dev team us unable to replicate this on their end.

May as we ask for a screenshot of this for reference?

Looking forward to your response.

OK, I think I've discovered what's happening.  The tasks aren't disappearing completely.  They disappear until I zoom into a specific day and then they pop up.  Once I back out to the entire week, then they are there.  But I don't know exactly how I made them disappear.  I remember that it usually occurs when I move a recurring task to another day than it is scheduled but I don't have a specific example.  I will continue to troubleshoot this for you.

Hi,

Thank you for trying this again on your end and sending a short clip.

We have not received a similar concern so far and we haven't been able to replicate this on our end.

Please feel free to reach out in case you are able to capture an instance showing the error. We are more than happy to check again.
