Task Title partially greyed out on web and cut off in app

maryruthp 2 years ago updated 2 years ago 22

So I've noticed that for a bunch of my tasks, the "task title" is being edited in various ways.

In the web app, the first few characters are sometimes greyed out (see here - "TPM" is greyed out)

This isn't a huge problem, but then when I look at that task in the iOs app, the "TPM is completely deleted:

THis makes understanding what the task is in the iOs app a bit difficult. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening? Thanks.

Hi, Mary!

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

The ios app was previously run by an independent ios developer and we have recently acquired full ownership.

We will be releasing an update for the app soon but I already shared this to our team for further checking.

Thank you for understanding.

Ok, I look forward to the new release!

Hi! Any updates on the app update? I'm really feeling the pain of having to use the Safari version on my phone. Would love to know when you will end my frustration! Thanks.

Hi, Mary!

Thank you for following up.

I'm checking with our team regarding this. I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Any word? Do you have a sense as to when you might find out? Thanks!

Hi, Mary!

My sincerest apologies for the delays. I am still waiting for our dev's update on this.

I'll get back to you within 24 hours.

Thank you for understanding.

Ok, so does that mean you'll find out today? :) Haha.

Hi Mary,

Are you registered in  weekplan with this email "maryruthp@hotmail.com" ? We are unable to find this email. Could you please share the email you are registered with WeekPlan?

apologies, I changed the email I use with WeekPlan but not here. My email with weekplan is maryruth@jadecreative.com

does that help figure out when I’ll receive the app update?

Hi, Mary!

Thank you for patiently waiting.

Our sincerest apologies for the late update.

According to our dev team, the greyed out title is called the prefix in their terms. It is used to easily categorize tasks. For example: "v2: Dom something" This issue can be avoided by not using a colon ( : ) on the the task titles.

Can you please try this on your end and let us know if it's still present afterwards?

Great I can try that. Thanks.

But my bigger question is when will the new app for iPhone be released? Thanks!

Hi, Mary!

Our sincerest apologies but there has been a delay with the release of the ios app's new version and we do not have a confirmed release date at the moment.

Rest assured, you will be notified once the update for a new version is available.

Oh dear. This is very dispiriting. Right now I just cannot use the app as is on my phone - too many problems. I'm using the mobile site on my phone but it's REALLY cumbersome. I've been tolerating this for over 2 months because you'd said it would be only a few weeks until the new app was released - honestly, I'm not sure how much longer I can deal with the small issues. You don't have any sense at all as to when the app will be released? I want to stick with WeekPlan but without a timeline I'm not sure...

Currently, we are just waiting for App Store's approval on the new ios app.

As a courtesy for the delays, please accept this discount for your next subscription.

Our team truly appreciate your continuous patience and understanding.

Hi! Thanks for the link, but whenever I click on it it says "your account has already been upgraded" so I'm not sure what that's supposed to do...

Any further updates on launch dates?

Hi, Mary!

Thank you for reaching out.

It appears that you still have an ongoing subscription. You may use the discount as soon as your current one ends.

Ok good to know. And any further updates on the app launch?

Hi, Mary!

I'm checking with our team for the update. I'll get back to you as soon as I receive a feedback.

Hi! It's been several weeks - any updates on the app update? I'm going crazy without a functional mobile option!
