So in my "Weekly planner" Tab when I look at my objectives it has every objective ever. Many of these no longer apply. It is my understanding that objectives are temporary. How can I get rid of the objectives that I no longer need?

I understand what you are asking but that is not the issue.
The display of the HIT's within the objectives are fine.
Here is where the issue is: Weekly Planner---> Back log by objective
Here is an example of what I am seeing:
Objective A (relevant and in progress)
Objective B (irrelevant and has been completed or deleted) <----- I would like to remove this from the backlog
Objective C (relevant and in progress)
Objective D (relevant and in progress)
Objective D (irrelevant and has been completed or deleted) <----- I would like to remove this from the backlog

We are more than happy to assist you! May we ask for your clarification if you are inquiring why the HITs from your objectives are no longer appearing on your schedule?
If so, please check the Objectives tab if the HITs are schedule as repeated or if the associated week tab (of the assigned date/s) are highlighted/marked.
